The Korean bass-baritone Daeho Kim is a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatstheater Nürnberg since September 2018. There his roles have included Heerufer in Lohengrin, Ramballe in S. Prokofiev's War and Peace and the roles of Deputy of Major, Patron and Runner in Turnage’s Anna Nicole. Next season his appearances include Schaunard in La bohème and Ned Keene in Peter Grimes. Already during his studies he was a soloist at Theater Basel and Theater Freiburg.
Daeho Kim studied at the Yonsei University in Seoul. Between 2016 and 2018 he completed the opera master's program at the University of Music in Freiburg. 
In 2019 he was finalist at the Tenor Vinas Competition in Barcelona. In 2018 he won the second prize at the Immling International Singing Competition and a special prize for the best interpretation of a Mozart aria. In 2012 he won the second prize of the 17th Emmak – Chunchu music competition in Seoul.

Der koreanische Bass-Bariton Daeho Kim ist seit September 2018 Mitglied des Internationalen Opernstudios am Staatstheater Nürnberg. Dort war er bisher als Heerrufer in Lohengrin, als Ramballe in S. Prokofjews Krieg und Frieden und in den Rollen Deputy of Major, Patron und Runner in M.A. Turnages Anna Nicole zu erleben. In der kommenden Spielzeit folgen unter anderem Auftritte als Schaunard in La bohème und Ned Keene in Peter Grimes. Bereits während seines Studiums gastierte er an den Theatern in Basel und Freiburg. 

Im Jahr 2019 gewann Daeho Kim den dritten Preis des Concours international de chant de Toulouse. Beim Internationalen Gesangswettbewerb Immling 2018 wurde er mit dem zweiten Preis und dem Sonderpreis für die beste Interpretation einer Mozart-Arie ausgezeichnet und 2012 erhielt er den zweiten Preis des 17. Emma-Chunchu Musikwettbewerbs in Seoul.

Daeho Kim studierte an der Yonsei-Universität in Seoul und absolvierte von 2016 bis 2018 den Masterstudiengang Oper an der Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
