The Chinese tenor Long Long is one of the most promising lyric tenors of his generation. He graduated from the Shanghai Music Academy and the University Opera Research Institute in Beijing. He was a winner in the 2016 Grand Prix de l'Opera in Bucharest, and was subsequently invited to study at the Accademia del Maggio Musicale in Florence. In the same year he was able to further his musical and theatrical studies at the Georg Solti Accademia in Italy. 

Long Long received much praise, both for winning the Giovani Voci Verdiane competition in Busseto in 2017 and as a finalist in Operalia 2018 in Lisbon. In 2019 he was the third prize-winner at the Tenor Vinas Competition in Barcelona and at the Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw he again won third prize as well as five special prizes.

Since 2017 Long Long has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, where his roles have included Schreiber Licht (Viktor Ullmann’s The Broken Jug), Albazar (Il turco in Italia) and Thibaut (Les Vêpres Siciliennes). This year he also debuted there as Godefroy de Vaudémont in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta.  At the 2019 Salzburg Festival he will appear as Il Capitano in Simone Boccanegra, under the baton of Valery Gergiev.

His repertoire includes Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) and Rodolfo (La bohème). Conductors with whom Long Long has worked include Kirill Petrenko, Bertrand de Billy, Carlo Rizzi, Simone Young, Asher Fish and Keri Lynn Wilson.

In the 2019/20 season Long Long will be a member of the Staatsoper Hannover.  Future guest performances include a solo recital in Singapore, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.

Der chinesische Tenor Long Long gilt als einer der vielversprechendsten lyrischen Tenöre seiner Generation. Er absolvierte ein Studium an der Musikhochschule Shanghai sowie am University Opera Research Institute in Peking. Als Gewinner des Grand Prix de l’Opéra in Bukarest 2016 wurde er an die Accademia del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino eingeladen. In gleichem Jahr konnte er an der renommierten Georg Solti Accademia in Italien seine musikalische und darstellerische Ausbildung weiterentwickeln. Weitere Erfolge feierte er als Preisträger des Wettbewerbs Giovani Voci Verdiane in Busseto 2017 und als Finalist des Wettbewerbs Operalia 2018 in Lissabon. Im Jahr 2019 gewann er der dritten Preis bei der Tenor Vinas Singing Competiton in Barcelona, den dritten Preis sowie fünf Sonderpreise bei der Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warschau, den ersten Preis der International Music Competition Harbin und wurde für die Teilnahme am Wettbewerb Neue Stimmen in Gütersloh ausgewählt.

Von 2017 bis 2019 war Long Long Mitglied des Opernstudios der Bayerischen Staatsoper München, wo er  in Partien wie Schreiber Licht (Der Zerbrochene Krug), Albazar (Il turco in Italia) oder Thibaut (Les vêpres siciliennes) zu erleben war. In  diesem Jahr debütierte er dort als Godefroy de Vaudémont in Tchaikovskys IolantaBei den Salzburger Festspielen gibt er 2019 sein Debüt als Il Capitano in Simone Boccanegra, unter der Leitung von Valery Gergiev. Zu seinem Repertoire zählen zudem Partien wie Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi) und Rodolfo (La bohème). 

Er arbeitete mit Dirigenten wie Kirill Petrenko, Bertrand de Billy, Carlo Rizzi, Simone Young, Asher Fish und Keri Lynn Wilson. 

Ab der Spielzeit 2019/20 ist Long Long Ensemblemitglied der Staatsoper Hannover.
