Natalia Yakimova

The Russian mezzo-soprano Natalia Yakimova studied at the Rimsky Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, after which she became a member of the Academy of Young Singers at the Mariinsky Theatre. There her roles included Female Chorus (The Rape of Lucretia), Witch (Hänsel and Gretel), Renée (Shostakovich's Orango), as well as soloist in Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream.  Other roles in her repertoire are Carmen, Polina (Queen of Spades) and Olga (Eugene Onegin). 

The young singer won awards in several competitions, including 2nd prize in the Concorso di Canto Lirico “Franca Mattiucci" in Asti in 2016 and the 1st prize at the All-Russian Singers' Fair in Yekaterinburg in 2011.

Die russische Mezzosopranistin Natalia Yakimova wurde nach ihrem Studienabschluss am Staatlichen Rimsky-Korsakov Konservatorium St. Petersburg in die Academy of Young Singers des Mariinsky-Theaters St. Petersburg aufgenommen, wo sie als Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, als Hexe in Hänsel und Gretel, als Renée in Schostakowitschs Orango und in Mendelssohns Sommernachtstraum zu erleben war. Darüber hinaus umfasst ihr Repertoire Partien wie Carmen, Polina in Pique Dame und Olga in Evgeni Onegin.

Die junge Sängerin ging bei mehreren Wettbewerben als Preisträgerin hervor und gewann unter anderem den 2. Preis des Concorso di canto lirico “Franca Mattiucci" in Asti 2016, den 1. Preis des All-Russian Opera Singers’ Fair in Jekaterinburg 2011, den 2. Preis der Spring of Romance International Competition in Sankt Petersburg 2011, den 3. Preis des Internationalen Dvořák Wettbewerbs in Karlovy Vary 2010 und den 3. Preis der International Gavrilin Competition in Sankt Petersburg 2010.
