Honored with the revered title of “Steinway Artist”, Vincent LARDERET has attracted international recognition for the exceptional intensity of his performances and his highly acclaimed recordings. Praised as an “impressive pianist” (MusicWeb International, UK) for his “very lyrical playing” (Crescendo Magazine, Belgium) and his “multi-timbred” sound (Fanfare, USA), he “makes the piano equal to an orchestra” (Classica, France) with a wide range of “fascinating pianistic colors” (PIANO News, Germany). His very personal and deeply inspired interpretations are often compared to the piano legends such as Michelangeli, Arrau, Zimerman and Argerich. Nominated for the “International Classical Music Awards” and “Classical Revelation” by Adami winner at MIDEM in Cannes, he is considered as one of the leading French pianists of his generation. He studied in Paris with Carlos Cebro who passed on to him the tradition of Vlado Perlemuter, and worked Ravel’s music on Perlemuter’s scores annotated during his collaboration with the composer. He perfected his Art at Lübeck’s Musikhochschule (Germany) with the famous pianist Bruno- Leonardo Gelber and was a prize-winner in several international piano competitions including Maria Canals in Barcelona, A.M.A Calabria and Brest. He is also laureate of the “Orpheum Foundation for the Advancement of Young Soloists” in Switzerland.
He has performed worldwide at prestigious venues, international festivals and concert series including Zurich Tonhalle, Barcelona Palau de la Musica, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Washington Kennedy Center, Tokyo Toppan Hall & Hakuju Hall, Potton Hall (UK), Cannes Palais des Festivals, Cité de la Musique, Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau, Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival, Festival Pianistico Busoni, Le French May, Piano Texas, Fantastic Pianist Series, Berlioz Festival, Besançon Festival, La Roque d’Anthéron and La folle journée. He also devoted himself intensively to chamber music with distinguished artists including Y.B. Chu, M. Dalberto, S. Gabetta, P. Sporcl and the Debussy Quartet. Among the renowned conductors and orchestras which whom he has collaborated include S. Brotons, G. Cataldo, D. Kawka, E. Lederhandler, G.G. Ráth, R. Trevino, P-A. Valade, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, the Sinfonia Varsovia, the Orchestra Simfonica di Sanremo, the Orchestra Simfonica del Valles, the Czech Virtuosi Symphonic Orchestra, the Ose Symphonic Orchestra and the City Chamber Orchestra of HK. He is invited as a member of the jury at various international competitions in addition to regular Master Classes. His performances have been broadcasted on major Radio or TV channels and his recordings released by ARS Produktion, NAXOS, Chandos and INTEGRAL Classic to outstanding international critical acclaim have won prestigious Awards including the Classica “CHOC”, Diapason 5, Télérama 4 f, Resmusica “CLEF” (France), MusicWeb International “recording of the month” (UK), Klassik Heute “Empfehlung” (Germany), Crescendo Magazine “JOKER” (Belgium), RITMO 4 stars (Spain), MUSICA 5 stars (Italy) and Pizzicato “SUPERSONIC” (Luxembourg). He is also responsible for the major world premieres of Debussy, Ravel and Schmitt works. His new album devoted to Debussy stands out as one of the recording events of 2018 in tribute to the centenary of the composer’s death. Mr. Larderet is also of the Co-founder of the Piano au Musée Würth international festival in France which he also managed as Artistic Director until 2017.

Gefeiert für seine “unglaublich lyrische Sensibilität” (Crescendo Magazine), für einen “Anschlag von endloser Geschmeidigkeit” (Classica Nr. 131) und für seinen in der amerikanischen Zeitschrift Fanfare als “multi-timbred“ bezeichneten orchestralen Klang, widmete ihm die Zeitschrift Piano Magazine Nr. 40 ein Interview und behauptet: “Vincent Larderet strahlt einen farbigen, kraftvollen und überragend gemeisterten Stil aus. Da er immer nach Ausdruck sucht und das Herz der Musik berührt, ist sein Klavierspiel herausragend, edel und expressiv”. Für die “International Classical Music Awards” nominiert und für “Classical Revelation” ADAMI auf der MIDEM in Cannes gewählt, wird er für die außergewöhnliche Intensität seiner Interpretationen geschätzt, die immer im Dienste des Textes und des Komponisten stehen.
Vincent Larderet spielt ein vielseitiges Repertoire, von Scarlatti bis Boulez. Er ist außerdem überzeugter Verfechter der französischen Musik und weniger bekannten Komponisten wie Skrjabin, de Falla, Schmitt und Szymanowski. 2007 gab er eine Reihe von Rezitals, Beethoven gewidmet, wobei er besonders in der “Hammerklaviersonate” op. 106 und in der Sonate op. 111 brillierte. Er war an der Aufnahme im Rahmen der Gesamtausgabe der 32 Sonaten von Beethoven beteiligt, die in einer DVD-Prestige-Box von Piano Passion veröffentlicht wurde. Von Carlos Cebro in Paris ausgebildet, der ihm Vlado Perlemuters stilistische und musikalische Tradition übermittelte, studierte er Ravels Werke mit Hilfe Perlemuters Arbeitspartituren, versehen mit handschriftlichen Eintragungen infolge der Bemerkungen des Komponisten. Er vervollkommnete sein Studium am Conservatoire von Rueil- Malmaison, wo er den “Prix de Virtuosé” erhielt, und an der Musikhochschule in Lübeck bei Bruno Leonardo Gelber. Parallel dazu ist er Preisträger der “Internationalen Orpheum Musikfesttage zur Förderung junger Solisten“ (Schweiz) und gewann mehrere internationale Wettbewerbe, darunter den “Maria Canals Barcelona“, den “AMA Calabria“ (Italien), mit Lazar Berman als Juryvorsitzenden, und den Wettbewerb von Brest (Frankreich).
Vincent Larderet gibt Rezitals oder spielt als Solist mit Orchester auf prominenten Bühnen, wie Tonhalle Zürich, Palau de la Música (Barcelona), Kulturzentrum Hong-Kong, Toppan Hall (Japan), Washington Kennedy Center (USA), Potton Hall (Großbritannien), Teatro Umberto (Italien), und in Frankreich, Salle Pleyel, Salle Gaveau, Cité de la Musique, Palais des Festivals in Cannes, Schlosspark Florans, Palais des Congrès in Juan-les-Pins, PMC in Strasbourg, usw.. Von renommierten internationalen Festivals eingeladen (Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Festival Pianistico Busoni, Fantastic Pianist Series, Piano Texas, Le French May, Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron, La Folle Journée (Nantes), Boulez-Festival, International Music Festival von Besançon, Berlioz-Festival…), tritt er auch kammermusikalisch mit seinem Ensemble West Side Quartet für zwei Klaviere und Schlagzeug auf, oder zusammen mit Partnern wie dem Quatuor Debussy, Yi-Bing Chu, Emmanuelle Bertrand, Marc Coppey, Michel Dalberto, Pavel Sporcl und Sol Gabetta. Vincent Larderet wirkt als Jury-Mitglied bei internationalen Wettbewerben mit und gibt Meisterkurse. Er wird regelmäßig nach Asien eingeladen. “I'm really very impressed. You have recorded the most beautiful Images that I've ever heard. All the music of Debussy is here in its fullness, by the clarity and the perfect accuracy that you get in the relationship between the sound’s polyphony and the dynamic contrasts. From memory you seem to be the only one who respects magnificently this tempo rubato that Debussy indicates at the beginning of Reflets dans l’eau and which refers to this incessant movement of both “aquatic matter" and the game of lights. Virtuosity is never conceived as an external effect, but as the expression of a deep vital force, intended to emphasize the specific characteristics of tone. Debussy's music is really a music of “sound material" (your octaves by their “curves" sound beautiful!). Your Hommage to Rameau is noble and not dusty as we often hear unfortunately by other pianists. It remains true to Debussy, expressing the love for sound and colors which are inherent in his works and that it isn't scholastic homage to early music. In Mouvement, you are one of the few to maintain the tempo of an inexorable regularity, especially by avoiding to slow at the end. It therefore, has more strength and is more convincing. I've already listened to the Préludes several times. It's wonderful ! As for the Martyre, you were right to rely on the orchestral score for this achievement. This allows for a better dramatic effect of in some parts, which seem a little erased in the transcription of Caplet. It allows for increased pianistic effect."
