The tenor Jenish Ysmanov studied at the Kyrgyz National Conservatory in his home-town Bishkek. Subsequently he participated in the Placido Domingo Academy in Valencia in Italy. He made his German debut in 2018 as Rodolfo (La bohème) at the Immling Festival, where he returned to in 2019 as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni). In February 2020 he made his role and house debut as Rodolfo (Luisa Miller) at the Opera Ljubljana. In 2021 he debuted as Pinkerton in a new production of Puccinis Madama Butterfly at the Immling Festival and covered the title role in Arrigo Boitos Nerone at the Bregenz Festival.

He has already performed on international stages with the role of Rodolfo (La bohème) and has appeared at numerous opera houses in Italy as Alfredo (La traviata) and Il Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto). At the Teatro Verdi in Sassari he sang in Nino Rota’s La notte di un nevrastenico and I due timidi the roles of Lui and Raimondo. He also performed as Raimondo at the Teatro Malibran in Venice.

In addition to opera engagements, he participated in numerous concerts, including Gala concert in the Arena di Verona 2013, Concert in honor of Enrico Caruso in St. Petersburg 2013, Gala concert in Modena under the baton of Riccardo Muti in memory of Luciano Pavarotti’s 80th birthday in 2015 and Mozart’s Requiem at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino 2016.

Jenish Ysmanov has been awarded numerous international prizes, including first prize in the Shabyt 2006 International Competition in Astana (Kazakhstan) and first prize in the 2007 Bibigul Tbelnova competition in Almaty (Kazakhstan). In 2008 he won the International Rimsky Korsakov Competition St. Petersburg, the first prize in the International Luciano Pavarotti Competition in St. Petersburg and the second prize of the International Sobinov Competition in Saratov, Russia. In 2012, he received the “musicaRivafestival" special prize in the International Riccardo Zandonai competition in Riva del Garda, and in 2017 he won the third prize of the Salvatore Licitra Competition in Milano.

Der kirgisische Tenor Jenish Ysmanov begeisterte im Februar 2020 bei seinem Debüt als Rodolfo (Luisa Miller) an der Opera Ljubljana „durch eine perfekte italienische Phrasierung, eine bombensichere Technik und einem squillo in der Höhe“ und machte damit sein Quando le sere al placido zu einem „der Höhepunkte des Abends“. Im Sommer 2019 war er als Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni) beim Immling Festival zu erleben, wo er im Jahr zuvor sein Deutschland-Debüt als Rodolfo in Puccinis La bohème gegeben hatte. Mit der Partie des Rodolfo war er bereits auf internationalen Bühnen zu hören, zudem gastierte er an zahlreichen Opernhäusern in Italien als Alfredo (La traviata) und Il Duca di Mantova (Rigoletto). Am Teatro Verdi in Sassari war er in Nino Rotas La notte di un nevrastenico und I due timidi als Lui und Raimondo zu erleben. Die Partie des Raimondo sang er zudem am Teatro Malibran in Venedig.

Neben Opernengagements wirkte er bei zahlreichen Konzertereignissen mit, u.a. in Mozarts Requiem beim Maggio Musicale Fiorentino 2016, einem Galakonzert in Modena unter der Leitung von Riccardo Muti zum Gedenken an Luciano Pavarottis 80. Geburtstag im Jahr 2015, einem Galakonzert in der Arena di Verona 2013 und einem Konzert zu Ehren von Enrico Caruso in St. Petersburg 2013.

Jenish Ysmanov wurde mit zahlreichen internationalen Preisen ausgezeichnet, unter anderem mit dem ersten Preis beim Internationalen Wettbewerb Shabyt 2006 in Astana (Kasachstan) und dem ersten Preis des Wettbewerbes Bibigul Tulegenova 2007 in Almaty (Kasachstan). 2008 gewann er den Internationalen Rimsky Korsakov Wettbewerb St. Petersburg, den ersten Preis beim Internationalen Luciano Pavarotti Wettbewerb in St. Petersburg und den zweiten Preis des Internationalen Sobinov Wettbewerbs im russischen Saratov. Im Jahr 2012 erhielt er im Rahmen des Internationalen Riccardo Zandonai Wettbewerbs in Riva del Garda den „musicaRivafestival“-Sonderpreis, im Jahr 2017 gewann er den dritten Preis der Salvatore Licitra Competition in Milano. 

Jenish Ysmanov studierte am Konservatorium seiner Heimatstadt Bishkek (Kirghizistan) und war in den Jahren 2014/2015 Teilnehmer der Placido Domingo Akademie in Valencia.
